Don't know what to fill that Treat Box up with? Well here is a great recipe I found in a Taste of Home magazine! You can fine the tutorial to make this Treat Box in the May archive section of my blog.
Chocolate Coconut Candies
Yield: 2 ½ Dozen
1 ¾ Cups Confectioners’ Sugar
1 ¾ Cups Flaked Coconut
1 Cup Chopped Almonds
½ Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 Cups (12 ounces) Semisweet Chocolate Chips
2 Tablespoons Shortening
1. In a large bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar, coconut, almonds and milk. Shape into 1” inch balls. (I used a small melon baller from pampered chef) Refrigerate until firm, about 20 minutes.
2. In a microwave, melt the semisweet chips and shortening on high for about 1 minute; stir. Microwave an additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Dip balls in chocolate; allow excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in an airtight container. (I put mine in the refrigerator)
YUMMY!!! Enjoy!
