Envelope Gift Card Holder

It's my brothers birthday is this weekend. So, I made a gift card holder for him. And since he does not follow my blog, I decided to go ahead and share it with you!

Inside there is room for a note card and and gift card!

Using a envelope, I created 2 pockets. One for the note card and one for the gift card. Pretty nifty, right?

13th Annual 2010 Chile Festival

So, my cousin and I decided to participate in the craft fair at the 13th Annual Chile Festival. It's a fund raiser to benefit Habitat for Humanity. The date of this event is August 28, 2010 at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church (Montaño Rd. near Rio Grande Blvd.). This popular community gathering offers visitors great entertainment, wonderful arts and crafts, hot chile, delicious food, and an exciting silent auction. General Admission is FREE.

This will be my first craft fair, and I'm really excited! I have so much to do to prepare for this, I just hope I can prepare enough projects for this event!

Treat Box Goodies!

Don't know what to fill that Treat Box up with? Well here is a great recipe I found in a Taste of Home magazine! You can fine the tutorial to make this Treat Box in the May archive section of my blog.
Chocolate Coconut Candies
Yield: 2 ½ Dozen

1 ¾ Cups Confectioners’ Sugar
1 ¾ Cups Flaked Coconut
1 Cup Chopped Almonds
½ Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 Cups (12 ounces) Semisweet Chocolate Chips
2 Tablespoons Shortening

1. In a large bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar, coconut, almonds and milk. Shape into 1” inch balls. (I used a small melon baller from pampered chef) Refrigerate until firm, about 20 minutes.

2. In a microwave, melt the semisweet chips and shortening on high for about 1 minute; stir. Microwave an additional 10-20 second intervals, stirring until smooth.

3. Dip balls in chocolate; allow excess to drip off. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in an airtight container. (I put mine in the refrigerator)

YUMMY!!! Enjoy!

Lunch Sack Gift Bags

I made 2 lunch sack gift bags. I'm planning on making one of them for this weekends stamp club. I'm not really sure which one I like best.... Take a look and let me know what you think. The design is similar, but the style of bag is different.
The above gift bags, shows more of the lunch sack. When I asked for my husbands opinion, he said it looked like a lunch bag, but just decorated...
He preferred this one. I would love to hear some of your feedback! Thank you and "Stamp Happy"!
